Patient Profile<\/b><\/p>\n

  • The couple came from a large country town<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      clinical challenge<\/b><\/p>\n

      The patient came at the age of 49 years and 10 months, with a history of many failed attempts and with a very short time until the age of 50.<\/p>\n

      The couple was extremely desperate, as for many years they had not been able to achieve a pregnancy, and now time was not just an aggravating factor, but a strict legal limit.<\/p>\n

      Based on the current framework, after reaching the age of 50, a new assisted reproduction effort could not proceed legally.<\/p>\n

      The effort would involve an IVF cycle with egg donation, which in itself requires careful planning, the right choice of donor and perfect timing.<\/p>\n

      In this case, all this had to be done in a short time.<\/p>\n

      It is an incident with particular emotional and organizational difficulty, where medical precision, moral consistency and speed had to be combined without any impairment in quality.<\/p>\n

      Particular difficulty of incident<\/b><\/p>\n

      The main difficulty was not only the age of the patient or the history of many failed attempts.<\/p>\n

      The biggest challenge was that an egg donation cycle had to be organized immediately, in a safe, morally correct and scientifically reliable way.<\/p>\n

      In our approach, when it comes to egg donation, it is preferred to use fresh eggs, both for reasons of absolute moral order and to achieve the best possible results.<\/p>\n

      This means that a suitable donor had to be found, with features compatible with the couple and good medical specifications, and the entire cycle should be organized immediately.<\/p>\n

      Usually, such a procedure requires at least 2 to 3 months of preparation.<\/p>\n

      In this case, the time available was much shorter.<\/p>\n

      Psychological state of a couple<\/b><\/p>\n

      The couple was deeply disappointed.<\/p>\n

      They had already experienced many years of efforts, failures and waiting, while now they felt that their last chance was being lost.<\/p>\n

      The anxiety was evident, not only because no pregnancy had been achieved until then, but because there was a feeling that time was running out for good.<\/p>\n

      The referral from the colleague was made immediately, almost with the feeling that there was no room for further delay.<\/p>\n

      Diagnostic & Therapeutic Approach<\/b><\/p>\n

      • Detailed evaluation of previous attempts<\/li>\n
      • Decision for an IVF cycle with egg donation<\/li>\n
      • Urgent organization of a cycle with fresh eggs<\/li>\n
      • Seeking a suitable donor based on the characteristics and needs of the couple<\/li>\n
      • Careful timing of donor and recipient<\/li>\n
      • Embryo Transfer Planning Within the Legal Time Margin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The approach required absolute concentration, speed and precision.<\/p>\n

        There was no room for delay, but at the same time there could be no discount in the quality of choice, preparation or treatment.<\/p>\n

        IVF Strategy<\/b><\/p>\n

        Therapeutic strategy was based on three main axes:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • Immediate but safe organization of egg donation cycle<\/li>\n
        • Use of fresh eggs with the best possible results<\/li>\n
        • Embryo transfer within the available legal time limit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          After choosing a suitable donor and completing the preparation, an embryo transfer of two good quality embryos was carried out.<\/p>\n

          The embryo transfer took place just 5 days before the patient reached the age of 50.<\/p>\n

          Result<\/b><\/p>\n

          The patient became pregnant.<\/p>\n

          The pregnancy developed successfully and the couple had a healthy baby girl.<\/p>\n

          The birth took place in a large provincial town, where the couple came from.<\/p>\n

          A few months later, the parents sought to meet with us again, this time to show us their baby with joy.<\/p>\n

          In the same meeting they asked us to help them for the second time.<\/p>\n

          Unfortunately, this was no longer possible, as the patient had already exceeded the age of 50 and there was no longer the possibility of a new effort under the legal framework.<\/p>\n

          clinical conclusions<\/b><\/p>\n

            \n
          • Age can create strict temporal and legal limits in assisted reproduction<\/li>\n
          • In cases of egg donation, proper timing is crucial<\/li>\n
          • The use of fresh eggs requires excellent organization, a suitable donor and absolute precision in the design<\/li>\n
          • Even when time is minimal, quality and ethical approach should not be bypassed<\/li>\n
          • Immediate and properly organized intervention can lead to success even in limited time cases<\/li>\n
          • The personalized approach is not only about the medical data, but also the particular temporal, emotional and legal conditions of each couple<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Final message<\/b><\/p>\n

            There are cases where time is not just a factor; it is the limit itself.<\/p>\n

            In such moments, the right judgment, immediate organization and absolute adherence to quality can turn a last chance into life.<\/p>\n

            For this couple, five days before the time frame finally closed, the effort became a reality.<\/p>\n
