Its quality determines the success rates to a great extent, and its continuous renewal is necessary in order to keep up with scientific developments.<\/p>\n<p>The development and introduction into daily practice of new, complex techniques, as well as the recognition of the factors that can lead to a better chance of achieving pregnancy have increased the complexity of the modern embryological laboratory. All operating parameters must be scrutinized on a daily basis, while standard procedures are necessary for each laboratory technique, and frequent evaluation of the operation based on the results.<\/p>\n<p>The Assisted Reproduction Unit of MITERA, a pioneer for Greek data, is the first in Greece to operate within the safe environment and full support of a hospital. As early as 2009, it proceeded to renovate and expand its laboratories without the use of embryotoxic materials and with high-end technologies (Clean Room technology) to improve the conditions of embryo cultivation. Class C air quality (ISO Class 7) was thus achieved, the highest possible for an IVF laboratory.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the pioneering techniques that were successfully applied to the mother IVF, as soon as they were introduced into clinical practice, are the following.<br \/>\n-Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) and pre-implantation testing (PGS).<br \/>\n-The Time Lapse Embryo Imaging technology, where the developmental course of each fetus is monitored throughout the crop.<br \/>\n-The IMSI technique, with which it is possible to optimally select spermatozoa based on their detailed morphological characteristics.<br \/>\n-The vitrification of embers and eggs, which allows their cryopreservation without losses of their developmental potential.<\/p>\n<p>In our laboratory, ISO certification has been applied since 2011. All processes, materials as well as laboratory equipment are checked at regular intervals and the operating parameters are continuously monitored, so that we can guarantee that each IVF cycle It is carried out safely and stable quality.<\/p>\n<p>The meticulous adherence to strict operating standards, combined with cooperation with doctors specialized in IVF is reflected in the results of the unit, which are consistently high. It is no coincidence that the IVF Mother belongs to the minority of laboratories in Greece that reports its results every year to ESHRE, the European Authority for Assisted Reproduction.<\/p>\n<p>Reward for us is the trust shown to us by couples who need our help, and the doctors who honor us with their cooperation. Our ambition, for the IVF to remain Mother Reference Laboratory in Greece and
